Almost there!!

Wow I'm a bad blogger :)

So here are the updates:

Adam & Sarah announced that they are pregnant!!!! YAY!!! I'm really excited for them. They are nuts and are not going to find out what they are having. I don't know how anybody does that. I am definetely my mother's daughter! I needed to find out ASAP so I could start planning :) But they are going to wait.

The end of the year was a little nuts for me. If you don't know our insurance changed Jan 1st from an HMO to a Total Health Plan with a deductible. Mostly what that means for us is we go from paying virtually $0 to have Maddox to probably reacing our out of pocket maximum! Oh well, it is what it is, but I was going to get the most out of my plan before the end of the year. So on Dec 30th I had 3 doctors appointments :)

My first was a physical therapy appointment for the havock Maddox is reaking on my back. It was FANTASTIC. I basically go a 30 massage and some stretching tips.

Then I had my first weekly OB visit. They start doing the down under exams ;) and told me I was 1cm dialated and 50% efaced. But I was measuring 2 under so she ordered an ultrasound to make sure he had enough amniotic fluid around him. Ultrasounds cost around $800 bucks and I only had one more day left in the year! I called Winnie Palmer, where I've had all my ultrasounds done, and they can't get me in until Jan 7 :| Luckily I found another place that accepted my insurance and was able to schedule it for the 31st :)

My third appointment of the day was for my fatty armpit (lol). Turns out i don't need an armpit tuck :) there is just something irritated in there...so what does she do?....orders an ultrasound :|  Lucky me again they sent me to the same radiology center that I had just made my fetal ultrasound so they were able to do both at the same time.

So I had 5 appointments in 2 days :) Screw you Aetna!!!

Both ultrasounds were fine. He has 8oz of fluid and anything above 5oz is good. They measured him and estimated his weight to be 5lbs 12oz.

So now I am now on the weekly schedule of doctor visits :) My appointment yesterday was a mess!! Since I hadn't been back to the doctor since after my insurance changed I had to update my info at their office. They had to call Aetna to verify the new benefits....25 mins later I was still sitting in the waiting room. (I'm usually in the waiting room for like 2 mins.) Turns out the Aetna website is down and they can't verify my new insurance. They decide to take me back anyway. So they take my weight and blood pressure and tell me to get undressed and wait in the exam room. As i'm waiting for the doctor a siren starts going off in the whole building announcing "PLEASE EVACUTE THE BUILDING. DO NOT USE THE ELEVATORS" So I have to get dressed and go outside in the cold. As we get outside we learn that it was just a test to make sure the building is up to code! So they let us back inside and the whole time I am getting my exam the sirens and announcements are still going off. If I heard the doctor right, I am now 2cm and 70% efaced :) She said it could be this week or next!!!!
